Because we care about our employees, we decided to invest even more in your wellbeing. We have partnered with Health Assured and are pleased to introduce our EAP to help you deal with personal problems that might adversely impact your health and wellbeing.

This means that you and your immediate family have access to assessment, short-term counselling and referral services, such as employee counselling, financial and debt counselling.
 

Enhanced annual leave/annual leave purchase

Even though Break is the most awesome place to work, we recognise the importance of taking time out and having a healthy work-life balance, which is why we totally understand that you may look forward to some well-earned time off.

We already offer enhanced annual leave entitlements, starting at 23 days per annum (plus bank holidays). But what better way to reward hard work and dedication than to add extra days off to our employees’ annual leave entitlement? We will add one day to your annual leave entitlement, effective the holiday year following your 2, 5, 10, 15 and 20-year anniversaries.

Pension salary sacrifice

Break makes a pension salary sacrifice scheme available for employees to provide for their retirement.

This means employees may choose to make their pension contribution via salary sacrifice, or may increase their portion of their pension contribution via salary sacrifice, thus reducing the amount of tax and NI that they pay for the chosen duration of the period of salary sacrifice.

Family-friendly policy

Break appreciates the importance of family, so this policy familiarises our employees with the structures Break has put in place to ensure all our employees can contribute to the care of their dependants.

We are introducing occupational maternity and parental pay, details of which can be found in the policy. In addition to the Maternity and Adoption leave and pay offering to our employees, the newly introduced Neonatal care leave and pay provides time off to qualifying employees for the neonatal care of their babies. We also make provision for foster parents, which matches the occupational parental leave.

Life assurance

Making sure your loved ones are looked after

Break appreciates that we all want our loved ones to be provided for with immediate expenses in the unfortunate event of our death, which is why, on successful completion of their probationary period, Break employees are eligible to join the Break Free Life Assurance Scheme.

This will provide a benefit to their nominee in the event of their death, equal to three times their annual salary or 3x£15,000, whichever is greater.

Cycle-to-work scheme

Save money and get fit on your way to work

The cycle-to-work scheme offers a great way to buy a bicycle, by way of a salary sacrifice.

Simply head to Cyclescheme and apply for the cost of your bicycle and, provided the purchase will not result in your earnings falling below the National Minimum Wage, Break will authorise the application and pay the invoice.Once the invoice is paid, you will receive a voucher from Cyclescheme, then you can buy your bike from any participating retailer
