Mentoring is one of the many ways we support children and young adults in care, providing them with a trusted role model to guide them through life’s challenges. Our mentors help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and create lasting, positive connections.
We are urgently seeking volunteer mentors to make a difference in young people’s lives in King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.
To raise awareness, our Mentoring Lead Maren, a young person Liam, and one of our mentors Bianca recently spoke with the BBC about the importance of mentoring and the impact it can have the young people we support.
“Young people from care often face significant challenges with little consistent support,” says Break Mentoring Lead Maren Albrigtsen. “We urgently need more mentors to step up and be that trusted role model.”
Currently, around 10 young people are waiting to be matched with a mentor in the Kings Lynn area. Full training and ongoing support are provided.
If you’re passionate about making a difference we would love to hear from you!
