Fostering with Break means you are joining a family dedicated to enriching the lives of young children.
We foster across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire looking after children on either a short-term or long-term basis, as well as parent and child, siblings, or children with disabilities.
As a foster carer you’ll be giving a child who is unable to stay with their own family, somewhere safe, stable and loving to live. We’ll give you full therapeutic training, a dedicated social worker, monthly funding and all the help and support you need so you’re never alone on this incredible journey.
We know that it can be a huge decision to open up your home and your heart to someone. Our team are always on hand to discuss becoming a foster carer whether you’ve fostered for years and are looking to transfer to us, or simply want to find out more about what the next steps will be.
"It's about helping them to harness their strengths and finding that one little thing and asking yourself, 'How can we support this? How can we help them to grow?' "
Stuart and Paula, foster carers.
Parent and child fostering
Empower a parent to reach their full potential so they can provide a stable environment for their child to thrive.
Long-term fostering
Fostering a child is a very special role to take on. Nurture and support children who are unable to live with their families through this next phase of their lives.
Support foster care
Support foster carers play a key part in Break’s fostering family. You’ll be matched with a foster family and will provide short breaks for the child in their care.
Are you already fostering but looking to move?
You have the right to transfer to another fostering agency for whatever reason you choose, and it’s a really straightforward process. You can also transfer if you are already caring for a child, and we’ll work with you and your young person, making sure their wellbeing is first and foremost.
