GoGoDiscover is Break’s latest art trail in partnership with Wild in Art.

It features 20 individually designed T.rex sculptures which will stomp through the streets of Norwich as a guided route to Norwich Cathedral and Dippy the Diplodocus. It will encourage explorers of all ages to have fun and learn more about the City while also raising vital money for vulnerable children and young people across the region.

Our jurassic trail is all set to hit the streets of Norwich in 2021. It's going to be another world-class art trail from the team that brought you GoGoGorillas, Dragons and Hares.

The 20 T.rex sculptures will reappear in 2022, and bring some new friends, for the second stage of the GoGoDiscover trail which will expand beyond the city and across the county of Norfolk including a learning programme for schools and community groups.

Make a dino discovery with Break

Each T.rex sculpture will be uniquely decorated by artists to create a public art exhibition around the city. They will form a trail leading to the exhibition of Dippy the Diplodocus at Norwich Cathedral and encourage explorers of all ages to have fun and learn more about the city while also raising money for Break.

Each sculpture will be a ‘canvas for conversation’, encouraging everyone to get active, to discover hidden parts of our wonderful city and to learn more about how Break’s work is changing the lives of young people and families in our region.

Why a T.rex

This is the fourth time Break has organised a fundraising art trail for Norwich. We needed a sculpture capable of making a BIG impact to follow in the footsteps of GoGoGorillas, Dragons and Hares.

As the trail coincided with Dippy the Diplodocus being at Norwich Cathedral for the final leg of its UK exhibition tour, it seemed like a dino-mite idea to create some prehistoric friends to join in the fun and to develop a really Jurassic jaunt.

Behind the scenes

GoGoDiscover 2021 is brought to you by Break in partnership with Wild in Art. Break has successfully delivered three previous GoGo trails across the city of Norwich and county of Norfolk.

Through sponsorship, donations, merchandise and sculpture auctions, these previous trails have helped to raise over £1 million to further Break’s vital work in supporting vulnerable children, young people and families across the region.
