About the charities
Break changes the lives of young people living in care, or moving on from care. With 1 in 4 care leavers ending up homeless our aim is to give these young people the young people the love, support and opportunities they deserve. Through this event participants will get a glimpse of the challenge that sleeping in the cold can bring.
ZSEA Banham Zoo cares for hundreds of amazing animals - with giraffes, tigers, leopards, meerkats, penguins and more. Fundraising plays a vital role in supporting the care and well-being of all our animals and also contributes to our conservation initiatives and breeding programs, both locally and internationally.
How your money helps
£150 could help a young person learn new skills as they work on our CoffeeBreak van and gain valuable qualifications, helping them into the world of work.
£250 will help give a group of care leavers a whole day of activities together to help them develop their confidence and share their experiences.
£300 could provide a young person with one-to-one therapeutic sessions to share their thoughts and work through their worries.
£500 will pay for enough meat to feed the carnivores at Banham Zoo for a month.
£1,500 will go towards paying for all the salt required to keep our seal habitat salinity leves stable.
£5,000 could turn an empty flat into a home for young care leavers, giving them their first steps into independence.
