I feel depressed and lonely sometimes because Dad is so sick - I can’t go out as I have to cook the tea and look after my brothers

Young Carer

Young Carers

Break offer a Young Carers Support Service for young people who are caring for a family member who has a high level of need due to a disability or other health problem.

The service identifies additional sources of support for the family so that the young carer can feel confident that their family member is having their needs met. This will enable the young person to achieve better in and outside school because the burden of care no longer falls so heavily on them.

Norfolk County Council commissions a young carers individual support service from Break. To ask for a young carer needs assessments or support for individual young carers telephone Norfolk County Council on 0344 800 8020.

The Friends of Families' House raise money for our projects. For more information contact Families House' 125 Ber Street, Norwich, Norfolk NR1 3EY; tel 01603 621702; email admin@break-charity.org

We regularly hire out our rooms to other organisations who require rooms equipped with play equipment, click here for more information.
