Fostering

Break's Therapeutic Fostering Service is for children aged seven to 17 who require a positive and caring experience of parenting.

Break Fostering is based in Norfolk but also accept foster carers on the borders of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

Break offers permanent placements, respite and short term, parent and and child and sibling groups placements.

We recruit foster carers of the highest calibre and provide them with a high level of support. Our foster carers receive therapeutic supervision from our experienced team of social workers and professional consultation from our psychotherapist. We also provide excellent training, regular respite with a dedicated foster carer and all our foster carers attend fortnightly therapeutic support groups.

Fostering Quote - Social Worker

Break foster carers carry out the day-to-day task of parenting the child in a thoughtful manner, offering the child a restorative and enduring relationship. Our foster carers seek to understand how a child’s past experiences affect their view of the world, their behaviours and relationships.

Our fostering service is available on a spot purchase or preferred provider basis. It is aimed at children who, for complex reasons, need a single placement.
