Norwich Firewalk 2019

Over 80 fundraisers took the walk of their life for Break.

It was the first BIG challenge event of the year for Break! Over 80 fundraisers braved the hot coals and challenged themselves to firewalk on 27th March at the Wreningham Bird in Hand pub.

After a fantastic 2 hour motivational training session by B.L.A.Z.E – the firewalking experts, the fundraisers braved the shortest, hottest walk of their life - across 20 foot of burning embers!

The entry fee was just £10 and each fundraiser was challenged to raise £50 in sponsorship. The funds raised from this event will go to supporting Break’s vital work with vulnerable young people moving on from care across East Anglia.

Sarah Bunn, Events Manager for Break said: “The firewalk sponsorship money is still coming in from supporters but is looking at reaching just over £4,000 – which is just incredible!”

“The whole experience of the firewalk is quite amazing. You see participants enter into the event like quiet church mice but leave ready to face the firewalk as strong, fearless individuals! The participants are left with a feeling that they could do almost anything. The training is such an important part of the experience and whilst uplifting in itself this also provides the confidence and reassurance that you will succeed on the night.”
