Meet the 2019 Marathon runners!

It is just a matter of days until the BIGGEST race in the UK

Not long to go until this year's London Marathon and we are thrilled to have a fantastic team of four runners on board.

They have been training extremely hard throughout the last few months in order to raise money for Break - so give them a cheer! They're all doing amazingly. Read more about the team below...

1. Tanya Nelson – 35669

Tanya siad, "I knew a little about Break, but not a great deal... I’ve enjoyed doing the GoGo Trails for instance, and I knew that Break organised the trails and I assumed from the name that they provide ‘Breaks or respite care’ for children and families with disabilities. However, Break does a whole lot more than this! Having met some of the team and seen first hand how passionate they are about the young lives of children and young adults that they are helping to make better, I feel very privileged to raise money for them to continue the great work that they do."

2. Ross Haddow – 35670

Ross will be taking part in several events over the summer to try and raise £5k for Break, including the London marathon. Historically a big supporter of Break, he has even run the marathon for Break before!

Ross said, "I am trying to raise £5,500 by the end of 2019 to pay for a short weekend for 8 children with severe disabilities at the Nancy Oldfield Trust on the Norfolk Broads. In celebration of Break's 50th year I am doing 50 diverse things, like running the London Marathon, the Holkham Outlaw Half, Ride round Norfolk in a day, as well as working in a Break shop, helping at the Break XC run, and volunteering on one of the holiday weekends, to both raise awareness of the fabulous work Break does and help to fund a holiday break."

3. Greg Scriven – 35671

Greg said, "I have raised money for Break before with my better half, Amy Brooke. We jumped out of a plane 4 years ago to. The people at Break are wonderful people helping with so much in our area."

Greg has a lovely reason for running the marathon - it’s on his Just Giving fundraising page. He has raised over £2k already with the help of his family, who organised a quiz raising £875.

4. Max Leslie - 35672

This is Max’s warm up event! He is aiming to raise £2k for Break. He will be taking part in an event later in the summer too. Read his full story and take a look on his Virgin Money Giving Giving Page here.
