Meet Hare-Necessities

There’s a rumble in the jungle as NEW GoGoHare is revealed!

It was the art trail that brought so much enjoyment during the summer of 2018 – but the fun isn’t over yet GoGoHares fans! The 50 city hares went to auction on 11 October 2018 in celebration of Break’s 50th anniversary year. But it was the final lot at auction that set bidders paddles waving. The ‘Blank Ears Up’ sculpture sold for an incredible £21,000 in aid of Break, the children’s charity who delivered the GoGoHares trail in partnership with Wild in Art.

The blank hare was sold to one very incredible bidder who selected artist Charli Vince to bring his Jungle Book theme, ‘Hare-Necessities’ to life. Crossley Eccles, the successful owner of ‘Hare-Necessities’ has chosen to donate this very special hare back to Break to continue to bring joy and delight to the young people and families the charity supports. Crossley has a strong relationship and involvement with Break. He is one of Break’s volunteer mentors. In his free time he mentors a young person, developing a relationship to give support and encouragement to help change young lives.

Crossley said: “I am fortunate to see the work Break does in the community first hand. By donating the hare back to Break, my goal is to help the charity to raise awareness and perhaps even inspire the odd volunteer to get involved and be a part of this amazing charity! My children loved the GoGoHares trail and I hope that Charlie’s cracking design creates some noise and fun wherever it goes!”
