GoGoHares fan wins family flights to Europe with KLM

It was the hottest competition in the city this summer!

This summer thousands of people took to the streets of Norwich armed with GoGoHares trail maps and app on a quest to find all 50 city hares. Each city hare had a letter on its plinth, making up a phrase.

Trail goers made their way around the city trying to crack the hidden phrase in hope of winning family flights to anywhere on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ extensive European network.

The Dutch airline, now operating up to three daily flights between Norwich and Amsterdam and onwards to exciting destinations worldwide, were the main sponsor for the competition.

The app recorded people unlocking each hare and with over 181,000 unlocks along the trail, it showed that this was a truly successful and engaging event over the summer.

The lucky winner was picked out at a live prize draw on Monday 8
th October at the ‘Hare Today Gone Tomorrow’ event. It was Beryl Brazewell from Great Yarmouth whose entry was picked out to win a flight for four people to any European destination courtesy of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Competition winner Beryl, who was presented with the tickets by KLM Partnerships Manager, Thierry Spagnou at Norwich Airport on Monday 12
th November said “I don’t usually enter competitions but after taking part in the trail I thought I would submit my entry - I didn’t expect to win! It took three trips to Norwich to find all of the city hares and complete the codes on my trail map. It was such a big surprise to hear the news on my answering machine that it was my winning entry which was drawn. There are so many amazing destinations to choose from, I don’t know where we will travel to yet but look forward to exploring our options and booking up.”

The airline KLM jumped on board to support Break again in its 50
th year and supported the GoGoHares trail by offering a prize of four return flights from Norwich International Airport to any European destination  of the winner’s choice within the KLM network.

Benedicte Duval, General Manager for Air France KLM in the UK & Ireland said “We are delighted to partner with the local children’s charity, Break for its 50th anniversary. At KLM, we are focused on creating memorable experiences for our customers and we have been blown away with how well received this exciting and inclusive initiative has been by the local community.

I would like extend my thanks to everyone in Norfolk that took part in the challenge and congratulate Ms Brazewell on winning family flights with KLM from Norwich Airport to any destination on our European network. We look forward to welcoming them on board soon.”

Michael Rooney, Head of Commercial Services said “What an incredible way to conclude the GoGoHares trail. Break are so proud to deliver the GoGo trails in partnership with Wild in Art. Thank you to KLM for providing such an amazing prize. It truly has been a fantastic 50
th anniversary year for Break.”
