Investiture weekend raises vital funds for Break!

The King's Lynn 'Buff's' hosted a Provincial dinner.

On Friday 11th January Bro Ian Cooke K.O.M. was elected to serve as the the Provincial Grand Primo for 2019 for the King's Lynn and District Province Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes Grand Lodge of England (also known as the 'Buff's').

One of the Provincial Grand Primo's duties during their term of office is to appoint a charity for their fellow brothers and families to support. We are delighted to announce that the Buff's have decided to choose Break.

On Saturday 12th January, Anne-Marie Rankin, Deputy Manager from Rosedale one of Break's children's homes in Kings Lynn attended the Provincial Grand Lodge dinner at the Knights Hill Hotel.

Anne-Marie was on hand to chat to members about Break's services and to give a little more of an insight into the children's homes where we provide care, safety and stability for looked after children who have often had multiple placement breakdowns.

Bro Ian Cooke K.O.M. said "The dinner was a great success, everybody enjoyed the night. Anne-Marie was fantastic and answered any questions about Break. Then along with my wife Sue she helped sell raffle tickets raising £327 that along with the donations for my appeal badges made a total of £356."

He added "A donation by my own Lodge the Seymour Howard of £500 gave my appeal an amazing start."

Buffs Night

Bro Ian Cooke K.O.M. continues to support Break by running raffles locally and in the future is hoping to organise a 'Big Band Concert' in Heacham.

On Easter Sunday, the Buffaloes will be hosting a raffle at Snettisham Beach Club (bar cafe 34) in aid of Break.
